Tasted by O'Meara on 4/12/2024: This is a nice light Nebbiolo that is perfect for a casual weekday dinner. It has enough complexity to keep me interested, but it’s not breaking the bank or detracting from the food. Quaffable. (340 views)
Ottima persistenza. Per me uno dei nebbiolo migliori. Degustato a 18°. (1179 views)
Tasted by callmeacab22 on 7/14/2023 & rated 90 points: As noted elsewhere, a traditional Nebbiolo, lighter style and color with nice cherry flavor. However, this not a style that I connect with. (1132 views)
Tasted by gnsti on 7/5/2023 & rated 93 points: 농축된 체리, 딸기와 같은 과실의 노즈
온도가 올라가니 좀더 파우더리해진 과실느낌에 시나몬, 꽃향기도.
엄청 딴딴하고 빡빡한 타닌, 찌르는 듯한 산도, 풀바디

살짝 거칠긴 하지만, 몽포르테 달바 답게 구조감도 좋고 맛있다.
다음날은 좀더 스위티하고 부드러워진 느낌 (1180 views)
Tasted by PaulDrinksWine on 5/14/2023: Bright cherry (almost medicinal) on the nose, along with some vanilla or toasty notes slightly noticeable.
More tannic than I’d expect on the palate. Some licorice mixing in with the bright red fruit. Bright and acidic, you can feel the alcohol in this one up into your nose (1250 views)
 Tasted by glouglou3000 on 3/9/2023 & rated 93 points: Beautiful (1303 views)
Tasted by sid_loves_wine on 11/13/2022 & rated 93 points: Blinded; guessed a young Barolo. Pretty hardcore traditional Nebbiolo character here - that bright red sour cherry splashing across the nose and palate made me think Langhe Nebbiolo, but there were touches of that earthy wood plank and even some musky vanilla something-or-other that made me think it could have been an entry level Barolo. Seeing that it was a top producer's entry level Langhe made perfect sense. It's a fairly austere wine but mostly approachable despite the coarse tannins and super-traditional feel. Of course, what it really needs is age.

It's very rare that I truly connect with Nebbiolo and I don't know if I'd want this again for the price, but there's no denying the general quality and earthy nuance waiting to emerge. Felt about on par with a young Produttori Barbaresco; maybe this is less vibrant and "elegant", but more complex and multifaceted. (1510 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 10/29/2022: Lively fresh nebbiolo character. More darkly fruited than one might expect. (1295 views)
Tasted by mflesh on 10/10/2022: Quite youthful. Had a nice brambly raspberry character to it. Poured a little rusty to the glass, medium bodied on both the po pour and the mouthfeel. Still lots of acidity. Letting the remaining 40% of the bottle sit for about 3 hours improved it tremendously. Went well with the saucier Italian foods which really helped to cut through the acidity. The homemade Italian sausage was almost the spirit animal of this wine. If you have these, I'd lay them down at least for the next 6 to 12 months but this wine has the structure to go another 10 years at least. This producer always makes rather solid wines that can hold for an insane amount of time. I have one more at home, four in storage. I think I'm going to keep those four there for a while.  Tasted by guillermo- on 9/20/2022: From memory it was ok but too soft. (1057 views)
Tasted by Madera16 on 6/10/2022: Next to the Matteo Correggia, this was darker fruited and less tannic, with more body. I prefered the Matteo. But it’s a good wine, just not a good value. (1559 views)
Tasted by Prebuiltlemur on 5/25/2022: Deep fruit notes, but not sweet. Medium body. (1225 views)
Tasted by braised on 3/14/2022: Wiff of something green on the nose, not fully corked but not fresh and clean. We drank the bottle over the evening and I can’t tell if the resulting acidity will resolve with a few years or if just a bad bottle. Served with fennel braised pork over polenta with roast Brussels sprouts. Great structure and promise for this langhe. (1591 views)
Tasted by Shannun502 on 2/25/2022 & rated 99 points: Brera in Los Angeles with Andy (1504 views)
Tasted by tanglenet on 2/9/2022: Opened not decanted. Wine provided by KPAK and opened at Belotti in Oakland. Quick note: Cherry red fruit attack; light in body; Needed about 20 minutes of air. Ends with a semi drying finish. Good to Very Good. (1585 views)
Tasted by peytonross on 1/5/2022 & rated 91 points: Bright cherry and wild strawberry fruit with a hint of spice, tomato leaf and fresh roses. This is super light on its feet and certainly from a cooler, potentially more classic than what we have been seeing recently. Color is red-garnet and translucent through and through. Very nice acidity and structure here, elevating with the 3min+ finish. Very young, but lots of promise for Langhe Nebbiolo. Certainly at the top of the class in this category and should be drinking well for another 3-5 years. If you hold them longer, I'm not sure you will be nearly as pleased as I am today. Young and impressive. (1358 views)
Tasted by mlabergegoupil on 12/13/2021 & rated 90 points: Haute qualité. Sur le fruit et l'acidité pour l'instant. À laisser vieillir (1260 views)

Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo is a red grape indigenous to the Piedmont region of Italy in the Northwest. The grape can also be found in other parts of the world, though they are not as respected.

Nebbiolo is often considered the "king of red wines," as it is the grape of the famed wines of Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, and Roero DOCG. It is known for high tannins and acidity, but with a distinct finesse. When grown on clay, Nebbiolo can be very powerful, tannic, and require long aging periods to reach its full potential. When grown on sand, the grape exhibits a more approachable body with more elegant fruit and less tannins, but still has high aging potential.

"Nebbiolo" is named for the Italian word, "nebbia", which means "fog", in Italian and rightfully so since there is generally a lot of fog in the foothills of Piedmont during harvest.

Nebbiolo is a late-ripening variety that does best in a continental climate that boasts moderate summers and long autumns. In Piedmont, Nebbiolo is normally harvested in October.
