Tasted by rs666 on 3/2/2024 & rated 89 points: Pretty decent cab, not my style maybe... Fruity, kinda like sautéed strawberry, a bit of chocolate, some tiny hints of well water, a tiny bit of acidity and no tannins, but definitely alcohol. For me it’s pretty ok, but feels there are better wine for the price. (1685 views)
Tasted by as4beatles on 2/4/2024 & rated 92 points: Great flavor. Smooth. (2114 views)
Tasted by Dave Dewar on 2/1/2024: Bold fruit bomb. Drink soon, there is not enough acidity or tannins to support a whole lot of aging. (1770 views)
Tasted by Deegie on 1/26/2024 & rated 91 points: I know people crap on this wine. But it’s smooth and yummy. Not a whole lot of tannin or acid. (1835 views)

Tasted by Dave Mac on 11/23/2023 & rated 88 points: This one chopped at my tongue like the tin woodsman with a rusty ax, maybe it was before its time but even Toto barked at this one. It sank down the yellow brick road with a picnic basket, and with a little water, unlike the wicked witch's fate, it got better. (2996 views)
Tasted by Mkotik on 11/20/2023 & rated 85 points: Jammy. Low acidity (2505 views)
Tasted by Azar on 10/14/2023 & rated 81 points: Deep Ruby color. Nose- cinnamon, plum, & oak. High tannin and alcohol. Presented as high acidity for me. Palate was earthy, with black tea, plum and oak. (3815 views)
Tasted by Amiragah2 on 10/9/2023 & rated 88 points: So thik and jammy. Extremely plummy and have some sweey notes. It is well rounded but never going to buy again. (2615 views)
Tasted by derekvangen@gmail.com on 8/7/2023 & rated 87 points: Flighted with other paso Cabernets. Fruit forward but nothing stands out versus cheaper offerings available at costco. (4547 views)
Tasted by Christopheroz on 8/4/2023: Rich, big fruit. Powerful, sweet fruit. A luscious and big wine but totally drinkable now. Love it (2824 views)

Tasted by Miguelvino@yahoo.com on 7/4/2023 & rated 92 points: Great wine. Better than last year (2914 views)
Tasted by Mustang1 on 7/2/2023 & rated 91 points: Wow with bavette. Smooth cab (2637 views)
Tasted by MADemers on 6/28/2023: Great with pizza. Had with Lisa (Hello Kitty) Connor (1816 views)
Tasted by econnertx on 5/27/2023 & rated 90 points: delivers on the Paso Robles profile, a bit of mushroom and dirt, deep velvet color, some cassis, some cocoa and dried berries. Great for after dinner to finish the evening (1938 views)
Tasted by Brent25 on 5/27/2023 & rated 89 points: Clear deep violet; clean medium plus nose of blueberry jam, vanilla, baking spices, blackberry jam, cocoa and raspberries; dry-ish; high acidity; medium tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate has fruit payoff with addition of molasses; long finish; drink now; with 9g/L of RS, this is a big, bold, crowd pleasing, pie in a glass; it overwhelmed the charcuterie board that we served it with; it would have been a better match with pizza (2253 views)
Tasted by Dawhitt1 on 5/13/2023: I like it (2300 views)
Tasted by cono_sur on 5/10/2023 & rated 92 points: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fragrant, highly aromatic nose is sweet vanillin oak spice and ripe, jammy black fruit driven with notes of black plum, blackberry, fine oak spice, cassis, and red licorice. On the full-bodied, richly structured palate it has sweet oak vanillin, fresh & ripe black fruit, blackberry, mocha, and black plum flavours supported by fresh, well-balanced acidity. The ripe, smooth, and refined tannins have a pleasingly mild grip on the back palate that will reward with a few years of ageing. Vanilla with roasted coffee, smoky oak, and tangy dark berry notes linger on the long, juicy finish, with excellent length. Well-balanced throughout.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
