Tasted by 831900_ on 4/28/2024: Generous, well balanced, and noticeable intervention. (118 views)
Tasted by Satoshi Nakamoto on 4/18/2024 & rated 93 points: Cleverly brought by Raymond for a friend who hates viognier to a fault. Waxy, weighty, rich, and persistent. Interesting and delicious. Makes you rethink what viognier can be. (124 views)
Tasted by jhieb on 3/17/2024 & rated 94 points: Once again, a beautiful wine. We had an amazing Delmas viognier yesterday, and wanted to compare it to another outstanding Viognier. The Delmas had a wonderfully creamy mouth, and the Alban is more piercing and focused. Both fantastic. (184 views)
Tasted by jsmorris707 on 3/3/2024 & rated 94 points: SO'd for an hour, white flowers on the nose, peach and lemon on the palate, with a little tartness on the finish; delicious, drink or hold (300 views)
Tasted by mikedaquanni@gmail.com on 2/4/2024: This is just delicious. Bright clean nose, definitely some salinity. Baked pineapple, toast, green apple skin. Lovely and long finish (271 views)
Tasted by royalscam on 1/25/2024 & rated 93 points: We have loved this Viognier; really fruit forward and pleasant to drink; will accompany just about any food; silky smooth and quite complex; well balanced; decent finish (282 views)
Tasted by Montesquieu on 7/4/2023 & rated 91 points: For me, this tasted more like an Alsatian Gewurztraminer than a Condrieu Viognier. Rather exotic spice, aromatic tropical fruit, ginger, honeysuckle. Unlike my memory of prior Alban Viogniers. Good but not a QPR winner. (966 views)
Tasted by TheDKALife on 6/9/2023 & rated 96 points: I don’t have a ton of experience with whites, but this was by far the one that I’ve enjoyed the most. Full body. Thick. Syrup texture. A nice change for me given my love for full bodied reds.

PnP. The wine started of with pear notes and through the night gradually moved towards lemon lime 7Up style (fun!) before ending with melon notes. Enjoyed with haddock and over the course of an hour. Keep it cool. Looking forward to trying it again.

Cheers! (668 views)

Viogner is wrong wine

This is nonsense.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
