 Tasted by ve23 on 3/29/2018 & rated 95 points: 95/100

Charming yellow color, super typical for Blanc de Blancs. Tons of bread, brioche, buttery and creamy aromas, with fine grainy vertical feeing on the palate.

Perfect with honey cake!

My baby girl is five today, and we’re celebrating... (2307 views)
Tasted by beatles on 11/29/2016 & rated 95 points: Very similar to the last showing, this is feminine, elegant, creamy - and somewhat polished. Citrus, hints of brioche and butter dominates, still very young. Very good lenght. (3470 views)
Tasted by DAN BAILEY on 7/30/2016: Very nice showing. Bit darker and more developed than the 02 amour, as one would expect. Some very nice honeyed sweetness and hazelnuts. (3625 views)
Tasted by ubercuvee on 7/9/2016: I'd take the '99 Cuvee William Deutz over this stuff any day - utterly forgettable. (3300 views)
Tasted by beatles on 9/22/2015 & rated 95 points: My 50th extravaganza (Chez moi): Very feminine, elegant, very chardonnay en danseuse, creamy, precise – and quite long. Still young, but probably the best of the champagnes served (2225 views)
Tasted by dansamsoe on 7/28/2013: This was a nice surprise. A beautiful looking bottle by the way :-) The Amour is ready to drink. Mature notes. A classic bdb champagne. Elegant. It performed very well with sushi and hot summer weather. It had a nice nose with cucumber. Sound weird but it worked nice. (4409 views)
Tasted by Genghis88 on 1/10/2013 & rated 90 points: CC's Bday Homer St.

Light yellow, persistent medium to small bubbles
Nose is very much like Dom, high minerality, oyster shells, dusty, some fruit, citrus and lychee
Tastes like the nose, medium + finish
A stellar bottle of bubble, decent QPR (4069 views)
Tasted by Will Devize on 12/8/2012 & rated 92 points: This is an impeccable, finely-boned Blanc de Blancs which has a clean, floral nose and a palate full of tangy pineapples, grated ginger and hazelnuts. The delivery is remarkably precise with a profound acid structure and immaculate tension; I can't recall drinking such a delicate, poised yet vigorous Champagne. Comes across youthful and brisk and did not quite have the weight to stand up to a Jerusalem artichoke risotto. I would certainly wait 3 years before trying this again in the hope of a bit more substance and evolution. Questionable value at £125 RRP! (4134 views)
Tasted by nadoum on 12/2/2012: This is a great blanc de blancs, with a ton of Chardonnay character, that is absolutely ready to drink. Not the most cerebral or austere champagne out there, but lots of pleasure. (4278 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 8/12/2012 & rated 94 points: Champagne-Themed Euro Lunch (Donato Enoteca, Redwood City, California): Light lemon yellow color with steady, tiny bubbles; appealing, yeasty, mineral, tart lemon, mushroom, lemon peel nose; tasty, very poised and precise, yeasty, tart lemon, mineral palate with medium-plus acidity; medium-plus finish (1421 views)
Tasted by kostaslonis on 1/6/2012: Dissapointed..Lacked body, fragile aromas, a shadow of its former glory. I am not sure about how good was the storage of the bottle but it certainly wasn't as I remembered it. (4995 views)
Tasted by rbfoote on 12/26/2011 & rated 92 points: A very enjoyable champagne. Shared with family members that normally do not drink champagne and everyone loved this. Not a very strong taste (citrus notes) and not too bitter like some other champagnes. Medium body and finish. (2530 views)
Tasted by mdobro on 6/21/2011 & rated 92 points: during tasting I did not know that it's Chardonnay , it was impressed delicate champagne with long finish and body, really outstanding (2893 views)
Tasted by Faryan on 11/15/2010 & rated 91 points: Grenache with Dan P (Estadio, Washington DC): Opens with nice zest and some noticeable toast. Good minerality and zest but not a lot of depth. There is some percision at first but the wine is still young. A bit more brioche and yeast after some basic swirling. A good palate opener. (3596 views)
Tasted by cetsw on 8/31/2010 & rated 88 points: First class champagne on CX734: Citrus nose. Slightly oaky taste. Perfect fizziness (not too much like a Moët, not too little like a CDP). Would probably buy for own consumption. (3179 views)
Tasted by BrandrB on 8/30/2010 & rated 94 points: Outstanding! Pale golden color. Tiny bubbles with a persistent foam. Elegant medium-full nose shows light citrus, floral, and yeasty aromas. Palate features citrus, flowers, almond, and vanilla flavors. Relatively full-bodied, especially for a Blanc de Blancs. Long finish with nice minerality– truly excellent length. Drinking nicely four years after disgorgement but still with plenty of potential for further development. Drink now through 2015. By far, my finest experience from Deutz– incredible elegance and finesse. (3038 views)
Tasted by Peech on 2/23/2010 & rated 91 points: This was beautiful with a yeasty nose, ripe, round and smooth on the palate and a nice finish. (3137 views)
(3256 views)
Tasted by KostaKats on 12/17/2008 & rated 90 points: Oinofiloi Holiday Tasting. Pale blond. Citrus and mineral nose initially developing herbal and yeasty aromas. Medium body and medium acidity. Surprisingly herbal palate with a slightly sweet edge. Very nice. (3258 views)
Tasted by Slics on 11/6/2008: Rich, floral-honey-citrous nose with richness on palate and searing acidity. Too young or drink with food. (3406 views)
Tasted by gigilux on 1/21/2007: took it to Nashville for Xmas
Good but not our favorite - rather short on the palate (3714 views)
Tasted by Wrighty on 11/9/2006 & rated 89 points: Watson's World Wine Week tasting - 06 (Marriot Hotel, Hong Kong): Closed nose, tight and muscular. Medium mousse, medium dry finish. (5566 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Click for a list of bestselling items from all of France.
Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
