(1387 views) | | Tasted by mxpbuy on 8/10/2010 & rated 90 points: Sampled 8/9/10. This wine took a full hour to open. Some very nice apricot and tropical fruits in an understated and classy style. Not particularly sweet, but not too dry either. A very well balanced wine that stil lhas couple very good years left in it. (1978 views) | | Tasted by KeithAkers on 11/14/2009 & rated 88 points: Fight Night Wines V (matt's, highland park IL): nose: rich and big nose of oils, white fruits, peaches, and bits of peach blossoms. Good depth, but almost too rich on the nose
taste: full bodied with big tones of oils, peaches, tropical citrus', and tones of white fruits. There is some noticeable heat that bites on the back end
overall: The heat is a bit much. This is also very big for a viognier and its hard to gauge it. If this got chilled down a bit, the heat may not be as noticeable (2512 views) | | Tasted by tskrueger on 12/1/2008 & rated 92 points: Drank w/ dad on Thanksgiving on his request (surprised that he requested a white wine)...Let this breathe for an hour or 2 and come to nearly room temp...This is still one of the best domestic viogniers on the market! Delicious. (2267 views) |

This is nonsense.USAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Coasthttp://www.ccwinegrowers.org/links.html
