Intense taste on the mouth and long aftertaste, pleasant acidity, clear notes of oak. Improved over 6 years in cellar from my recollection of purchase in 2008. I drunk this wine on a blind tasting agaisnt anothers Chianti Classico DOCG, indepdent if the wine was Riserva or not. On the nose some aromas that is not so typical from Chianti Classico; strawberry iogurt, something smoked and a little licorice cherry (thatīs for me itīs typical!). Medium structure, "lost" acidity, too much bitter (oh crap...). Final of medicinal... (1723 views) |
