Tasted by winesteward on 3/20/2021 & rated 94 points: Light green/gold. Tropical fruit salad nose. Mango, pineapple, honey, apple, and pear. All a touch overripe. Delicious! All those fruits and more. Peaches, canned peach syrup, sweet pomelo, grapes. Again, everything just a little overripe. Sweet spice. Cinnamon etc. Rich, filling, a little goes a long way, and yet, it's hard not to take another sip. Beautifully balanced. Acidity is there but doesn't stick out. Seamless. Tremendous length. Probably a young adolescent. This has decades of life ahead of it. The screwcap probably helps. Superlative stuff! (543 views)
Tasted by doctor wine on 12/23/2015 & rated 90 points: Nice dessert wine.
Lacks a bit of acidity though.
Still enjoyable. (2572 views)
Tasted by MMK73 on 12/24/2013 & rated 94 points: Good nose of white peach and white flowers. Flavor profile continues on the palate with peach, honey, and a bit of mandarin. Clean finish. Drink now or hold for a few years - clean acid that may temper slightly over time. Great w/ spicy Thai noodles. (3440 views)
Tasted by mystycreek on 10/20/2013 & rated 92 points: Lovely fresh green apple and peach on the nose. White flowers, pineapple, honey notes and a long mineral finish. Definitely great, almost mistaken with some Mosel Spätlese. (3315 views)
Tasted by james-chu on 10/20/2013 & rated 91 points: easy to drink, you can smell Passion fruit, flower, honey, with a little acidity and a very little oil texture that makes the wine feel smooth and fresh without heavy and make the wine balance. (3315 views)
Tasted by ccotton8 on 3/5/2013 & rated 93 points: Stellar wine! The nose has a consistent petrol smell that is typical of many riesling have. You forget about the nose immediately when the wine hits the tongue, absolute bliss. I think the previous note by Enochling is spot on with the palate. This is definitely on the sweeter so a little bit goes a long way. (3642 views)
Tasted by enochling on 11/10/2012 & rated 94 points: medium golden yellow with some lemon hints. Seductive nose of honey, lemon, grapefruit, apricot and peach. Rich sweetness is well balanced by refreshing acidity. Honeyed sweetness dominates the mid palate, followed by beautiful finish of citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Full boded wine offers layered structure (2169 views)
Tasted by pifcho on 11/1/2012 & rated 90 points: This is firmly in dessert wine territory with a ton of RS. Has a lot of what I like in the vintage with its floral and white fruit nuances. Good acidity carries the sweetness, but at times I found myself wishing there was a little more acid. Very nice to sip on its own, but its sweetness overwhelmed the main course. Followed over 2 nights. (1317 views)
Tasted by burgburgburg on 4/7/2012 & rated 92 points: allowed 4 hours bottle breath; typical young Riesling bouquet -- citrus, subtle floral, pineapple, honey; medium+ bodies with some cooked fruits and spices; there was good acidity to balance the sweetness; a good bottle in a good vintage (1707 views)
Tasted by Samsara on 10/18/2011 & rated 90 points: La caravane Mark Anthony Brands 2011 au chalet du Parcours du Cerf de Longueuil le 18 octobre 2011.

Eye: bright yellow color. Nose: pineapple, nectarine, honey. Palate: oranges, candy, honey, good balance of acidity and sweetness, long finish. (1559 views)
Tasted by vegasoenophile on 5/15/2011 & rated 94 points: This has both great acid and a nice sweetness that carries through. Very nice!
- WS Grand Tour 2011 (1466 views)
Tasted by vanessa.langevin on 4/1/2011: Pretty bright lemon color. Lots of gas fumes and sticky cooked yellow and white fruit on the nose. The mouth is full of cooked pear, orange flower, candied ginger and honey notes and the flavours seem to linger on forever. Good balance of sweetness and acidity with definite minerals on the finish. Almost haunting, I loved it. (4134 views)
Tasted by Nutty08 on 7/22/2010 & rated 89 points: Gratis from a local retailer, not sure how long this had been open and served at room temp. Lemon marange and pear nose with sweet and crisp palate. Lovely lush mouthfeel that coats the palate and leaves with a strong mineral finish. (2118 views)
Tasted by ews3 on 10/22/2009 & rated 92 points: 2009 Wine Spectator NYWE Grand Tasting (Marriott Marquis, Times Square, NYC): hint of spritz. apple juice, petrol. medium(+) finish. yum. (5227 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 1/26/2009 & rated 92 points: David Niederauer Monday Wine Dinner - Yquem, Burgundies, SQNs, Massandra (The Plumed Horse Restaurant, Saratoga, California): Canary yellow color; tart apricot, mineral and kumquat nose; tasty, ripe, thick bodied, honeyed orange sherbet and ripe lime palate with good acidity; medium-plus finish 92+ (3671 views)
Tasted by hutch on 8/6/2008 & rated 91 points: Gunderloch Tasting: Right now this wine is so rich and full of tropical fruit that it's a little too much for me right now. Really is quite amazing how much concentration riesling can produce, especially in the right hands. I'd have to say 91-93ish. (2811 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)
