Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 87.5 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 26 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by gnosis on 9/20/2014: This was a deliberate experiment to see how it would do. Surprisingly it was fresh and good. Still probably better in the first year of release. (3353 views)
Tasted by CWilliam on 2/14/2013: Would have thought this would have been over the hill - this was delicious. Did not take notes but very enjoyable. 90+ (4001 views)
Tasted by Jclark4 on 4/30/2011 & rated 89 points: Really yummy! Definitely will get this again. Sweet, hints of peach and pear. (5224 views)
Tasted by kalle303 on 11/21/2010 & rated 88 points: a very nice sweet bubbly desert wine. drank to a coconut ice cream with a fried pineapple. (5388 views)
Tasted by mbonaccorse on 10/29/2010 & rated 90 points: Loved it! Sweet, light frothy.i in (5507 views)
Tasted by ksmith on 5/20/2010 & rated 86 points: Drank my last bottle as an aperitif in spite of plans. Light gold in color, spritzy on opening and pouring. Light, sweet, pleasant, unlikely to buy more. Worked on the deck before going out -- so low in alcohol it's like drinking soda. (3496 views)
Tasted by ksmith on 4/23/2010: Clear, light color, lightly spritzy. Sweet pear and peach. Had as an aperitif (again). One more bottle left, will probably save for dessert. (2578 views)
Tasted by ksmith on 3/5/2010 & rated 87 points: Clear light gold in color. Nose of ripe stone fruits. Peach and pear notes on the palate, overall impression of sweetness with some slight acidity on the finish. This probably works best as a dessert wine, but I enjoyed it tonight as an aperitif. (2493 views)
Tasted by AlexGarner on 2/27/2010 & rated 92 points: Colour: Light gold.
Nose: Very floral nose, mostly jasmine flowers with orange peel and a soapy note.
Palette: Very rich and sweet concentration of honey and tangerine. The finish is long and concentrated filling the whole mouth.
Overall: You can't just have one sip of this. It is luscious and moorish.
Cellaring: Couldn't really say. This one won't last long around here! (2774 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 2/8/2010: Moscato, always appriopriate. Touch soapy, with density of extract, which is odd. A little bit sweeter than Le Serra from di Gresi. (2806 views)
Tasted by kalle303 on 12/20/2009 & rated 86 points: very nice sweet and bubbly. perfect for a ice cream desert or just drinking alone.
not to be saved in the cellar though (2815 views)
Tasted by ksmith on 12/12/2009 & rated 88 points: Pleasant sweet sparkler. Pale straw, cork popped when opened. sweet fruit but a little shy on acidity to make this more interesting. Can see this as an accompaniment to a fruit dessert or by itself in lieu. (2826 views)
Tasted by wcacern on 12/10/2009 & rated 88 points: Really fresh and fruity. Very sweet but has a nice effervescence that gives it a nice lift. a bit too sweet for me without enough acidity... tasted like really yummy fizzy pear apple juice. it was really enjoyed by all who tasted it. (3003 views)
Tasted by bacchus on 10/17/2009 & rated 87 points: had a taste at mezza luna in manalapan. how sweet it is. should drink this in brooklyn. would pair well with sweet desserts of all kinds. it is refreshing but needs to be consumed immediately after the pour. i taste the creaminess. i don't taste the grape. (2900 views)
Tasted by sunalsorises on 7/18/2009 & rated 87 points: Nice sweet desert wine. A little bit more acidity would have been better. (2962 views)
