| Community Tasting Notes (average 85.1 pts. and median of 87 pts. in 8 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by D H Grant on 9/24/2008 & rated 84 points: Decent Chardonnay with some character. Nice bright light golden color. The nose has got green apple and pear along with a sent of white flowers and some creamy texture coming through. The palate is 2-3 notches into the creamy, toasty side of things but not overwhelming with those crisp orchard flavors present in the mix. The background acidity is not quite enough for me and could be a sign of better days gone by for this vintage and wine so, Drink it up. (3790 views) | | Tasted by kvdb on 7/3/2007 & rated 87 points: Pale golden color. Nose of light toast, pear. Early palate has minerals, pear, green apple. A hint of butter comes through in the mouthfeel, but it stays tight. Finishes crisp, with high acidity. Nose of pear, peach, butter and spice. Good acidity in the mouth, with flavors of pineapple and lychee fruit, and creamy butter. Nice complexity for the price. A consistent winner. (7568 views) | | Tasted by cwcollin on 9/17/2006: Very green flavors without much fruit to compensate, pretty disappointing wine experience. (4152 views) | | Tasted by tigerpaw75 on 8/28/2006 & rated 89 points: Very nice chardonnay, great QPR compared to most Cali Chards. Better than Tyrell's to me, from the same appellation but much more enjoyable. Pleasant fruity nose, pear, minerals, nice crisp finish. Drank with crab cakes - great match. (1782 views) |
