On the nose: strawberry and lavender lingering on pipe tobacco, coffee beans, cured meat, soy sauce and artichoke
On the palate: granular tannins with a fresh acidity
Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker notes: Beckstoffer Vineyard George's III is the former Beaulieu Vineyard No. 3, which was originally planted by George's de Latour of Beaulieu in 1928. The property is located between Conn Creek Road and Silverado Trail in jtherford within the Rutherford AVA. Several clones of Cabernet Sauvignon are planted on the gravelly, loam soils. his vineyard is quite late ripening and is a true representation of Bordeaux in Napa with ripeness in a very subtle and elegant envelope.
