- alcohol: 13.5%
- varieties: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot
- vineyard: 50 hectares; average vine age of 40 years distributed over three zones, in the center of Beychevelle, to the west and to the north of the appellation (bordering Pauillac)
- soil: Gunzian gravel on a clayey-sandy subsoil
- vinification: manual harvesting; stainless steel vats with thermoregulation; aged 14 months in casks, 40% new
- history: created by Henri Martin, 50-hectare vineyard was put together piece-by-piece over a number of years, through the purchase of plots exclusively from grands crus classified in 1855
