September 8, 2022 - Re-tasted. Light cherry run through by piercing acidity and framed in green notes. A hair better than the undrinkable bottle from this February. Not flawed. Not good either. I loved my Burgs and this is the biggest section of my cellar, but I can’t polish this turd. If this was a U. S. Pinot tasted like this I’d really torch it, but I’m always soft on these. 80

About the green, I was super sensitive to the 2004s and I’ve found some unpleasant tones in the 2011s (like Bertheau’s Charmes). If I found all the 2008s to be like this, it might not be fair, but I’ve had excellent bottles from Dujac, Mugneret-Gibourg, Bouchard, Faiveley and others. This was a disappointment. I wanted to love it, trust me.
