October 1, 2022 - In-Store Tasting (Some really bad wines) (Bloomington, MN): Never liked this Rhone blend and this vintage does not help. Very little to this wine with earth, some fruit and a touch of spice. There are so many better Rhone options for less money.

12/31/22, 9:03 AM - It does not sell for that in my market so a bit hard to do. It sells for around $15 in mine. St. Cosme is $16 and far better along with this gem which is $10 with tax. 2019 Rémy Ferbras Côtes du Rhône

12/31/22, 10:47 AM - I also buy the Cosme CdR, the 100% Syrah, at $14.98 which I agree is a better wine. Unfortunately Columbia, MO where I live which is in many ways a great city, is an imported wine desert. You can buy wine at grocery stores, Target, Walmart, gas stations, drug stores, but they all sell the same wines focusing on high residual sugar reds and sweet whites mostly under $15. So it takes effort to find good imports at good prices.

1/3/23, 1:08 PM - Well, what do you know. I just looked at your information. Small world. I was a teacher at Coon Rapids High School. Taught math, coached girls basketball and track. I retired in 2004. Worked as a wine consultant at Surdyk's for six years and then moved to Missouri. Married a lady who was as interested in wine as I was.
