  May 26, 2023 - I'd never have guessed this is almost 17 years old, it tastes so young, like a 5 year old wine. Some menthol on the nose, grilled meat, some barrel notes, blackcurrant. Very well balanced on the palate, fresh, with sweet fruit and fine structuring tannins that still retain some astringency. Comes in a little hot (it's 14.5%) but the heat is not too distracting. Neither deep nor complex and I'm thinking that this is what it is, but you could wait on this to prove me wrong.
