  May 27, 2023 - 15 min splash decant. Deep black cherry color bordering on purple. Big sweet nose of blackberry, cocoa, honey, pastry and ground hazelnut. Taste is same with a definite Napa fruit forward punch. Has some residual notes of ash and quite a bit of acidity on the finish. Overall, a bit too sweet for my taste but has some nice chalky tannins on the finish. I suspect this will age well and become more balanced over time (like in a few years). For now 92. I saved a glass of this two days later and it had improved so if open now a long decant is recommended.

  6/1/23, 7:38 PM - Thanks for the update. Had an opportunity to sample the’19 last week, which is drinking beautifully. Better balanced, great acidity, not as dark or heavy compared to the ‘17,:if that makes any sense to you
