  October 9, 2023 - A good crozes from a great year. In the glass it proves that Crozes is not Hermitage. A bit pruney and clipped. Lacks perfume and finesse. We had two bottles on the table this one and a bottle of Walter Hundsruck spatburgunder 2015 (aromatic and fine)…. Why not? Adding a dollup of the spatburgunder to this syrah, resulted in a much better wine. It became fragrant, the pruneyness resided, the wine found balance. The power made sense now. My wife said I was out of my mind to mix both wines. But the wine in the glass did not lie. 88 pts without the spat, 92 with…
