  November 5, 2023 - The third of five wines enjoyed with a good friend over a long afternoon and evening. I am grateful to my friend for bringing this. Tasted alongside the same vintage Lagrange.
  
  RUSTIC! (rŭs′tĭk)!!! Now, a public service announcement: Those who go looking for fruit in this next level wine of the earth will likely come away disappointed, perhaps even offended.
  
  Some stewed cherry a rhubarb notes. Otherwise, it delivers waves of root vegetables, herbs, clay, tobacco (in all forms), carob, iodine, savoriness, and funk. The wine tastes exactly like it smells. Seriously powerful! No holds barred! In a very good place right now. Likely to hold form for five to seven years. A highly informative tasting experience. 94-95.
