December 18, 2023 - Dinner at Perilla (Chicago, IL): Wow. For a poor Bordeaux vintage, this is really next-level stuff. Unmistakable Pauillac pencil shaving notes on the nose. The palate is a bit soft, and doesn't have the weight and gravitas of a top-vintage Latour, but there's no mistaking the quality behind the winemaking here. I love the delicacy and red-fruited acidity here.

3/17/24, 9:16 PM - 1993 is a very sneaky underrated vintage...my WOTY in 2022 which was loaded with first growths was a $45 winebid '93 D'issan.....increds...I've had other '93 that very quite tasty...I am currently holding a '93 Lafleur to pop with Robert Alfert.
