  June 18, 2009 - Inky deep purple in colour, very youthful in appearance. The nose is to die for - lots of ripe black berry and forest fruits, with a good dollop of vanilla and some spice/pepper and mocha notes lurking in the depths. The splash of petit verdot in the blend gives it a fragrant lift too. Palate is exceptionally silky with a shed load of fruit. Tannins are present but nicely integrated making it very enjoyable now. But the acidity and fruit and the solid structure will mean this one will probably improve for another 2 to 5 years.
