February 9, 2024 - Alas, my last of 4 to celebrate Nita & I meeting 46yrs ago um, disco dancing! Thankfully leading to 45yrs of marriage, 2 kids and 2 fantastic grandsons so far. Aside from dancing we found out we love; music, movies, walks, picnics, travel and hiking together. She loved cooking & I love eating her dishes! This did not disappoint with Cornish Hen. These have always been stunning examples of feather weight, silky, red fruited complex Burgundy with excellent aromatics and plenty spice, earth, mineral, mushroom and other nuances on the palate. Uber balance, purity & finesse. Gave this a simple 4hr slow-ox in 2 Burg glasses & btl prior to dinner. Served in high 50s / low 60s via an occasional return to the frig b4 dinner. Purchased on release and stored in my temp-controlled wine cabinets. Cork was pristine & hardly any sediment 12.5% alc. 94/95
