March 14, 2024 - Crumbling cork. Primarily coarse but also some fine deposit.
Red with broad browning edges.
Fully mature, tertiary aromas and flavours. Complex bacon fat and faded plum. Primary fruit has gone. Excellent length. Opened quite reserved but air saw it find its lungs. Bought the single bottle a year or so ago. I'm glad I did. I suspect it has been cellared well. If I had others, I would drink them over the next year or so, but good bottles may well be around in a decade. I am grateful to have been able to savour it.184 views
