April 16, 2024 - Retail $45. 100% Sangiovese. Medium color with baked plum and blackberry swimming in concert on the nose with oak, vanilla, a touch of heat and clove. Wonderful fruit on the palate, more fresh than the dried or baked aspect I got on the nose. The acidity more than keeps up, dancing on the tongue, with some spice interwoven. There are some tannins on the backend, but they are silky and mostly integrated. Great now, could use another 3-5 years and likely will still be doing well for another dozen years. Outstanding. 94 Points.
