April 17, 2024 - The 2023 iteration of Rombauer's North Coast Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from multiple vineyards within Sonoma County (77%) and Napa County (23%). Comprised entirely of Sauvignon Blanc, it was fermented and aged for 3-4 months in a combination of stainless steel (89%), neutral oak (9%) and concrete (2%). Pale yellow in color, it offers scents of pink grapefruit, white peach, ginger and lemon verbena. Light-to-medium-bodied, fresh and without any heat from its 14.2% alcohol, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, adding a hint of spicy oak. Solid on the mid-palate and concluding with good length, this is a well-crafted white that should be at its best over the next couple of years. Bottled under screwcap, it was clean and immediately expressive after opening. Drink now-2026.
