  November 4, 2023 - 2019 Barolo Tasting (K&L): Beautifully aromatic and lifted nose of roses, pine tar, and cherries (i.e., smells like classic Nebbiolo). On the palate, pretty red fruit, elegant weight on the palate, great acidity, classic BdV verticality, but very firm and drying tannins that will need a long time to fully resolve. However, at the moment, you get a window into its future (the fruit really is quite nice) before the tannins come crashing down and brutalizing your palate. I can see this shutting down hard in the next couple of months.
  
  This is going to be a wonderful, classic rendition of BdV once it matures.
