  April 20, 2024 - The cork was soaked through and crumbly and the middle of the cork came out. I had to pour through a large hole in the cork into a decanter, then used a sieve to decant into a jug, and then back to a decanter. Worked surprisingly well considering I don't have a Butler's Thief.
  
  Really into tertiary strides with mushroom truffle decaying cherries and some soy with lovely acidity and so well balanced. Probably stepped off the summit but the view from the early stages of the descent was still sublime.
  
  No abv stated. I would guess 12% or under. Was quite easy to drink a bottle and feel fresh (as my spouse doesn't really drink reds).
