  April 23, 2024 - A great merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend from the Osoyoos area that straddles a fine line between old and new world sensibilities. A big nose of oak guides a symphomy of ever so slightly stewed dark fruit onto the palate, rich with tones of blackberry, bramble and plum alongside an accompaniment of vanilla, toasted caramel and dark cherry. The mouthfeel holds chalk and tobacco textures in a velvety embrace that plays nicely with the powerful and far-reaching tannins. The finish is medium-long, somewhat dry and certainly poised, making for a pleasantly integrated sip that doesn't see the fruit notes get jammed up along the way. Good? Absolutely. Great? If it's on sale. Amazing? Not quite there, but a couple more years in the cellar might kick it into a higher gear.
