  April 27, 2024 - Dinner at B&A: Blind. Pale straw. Curious nose initially, quite cheesy and vinous. Suggests some weight, but the initial impression on the palate is far cleaner and steelier with a fine chalky texture and vibrant white fruit and cool florality. After being told it’s not BdB and is a grower, Vilmart CdC seems the obvious guess. A decade or so old. A little surprised to hear it’s 2012 - would have expected more richness on the palate perhaps, but compared to a bottle a couple of years ago this seems to have tightened a little and lost its youthful exuberance. Very good indeed. ****
