    August 4, 2009 - Dark ruby, transparent.
Dense nose - tar, leather, oak. Plums, sweet cherries.
The style is not as modern as I had expected. There is some oak on the nose, but it is well integrated on the palate.
Relatively accessible already, however, with fresh vibrant fruit. Silky smooth and at the same time quite tannic. Medium bodied and elegant with emphasis on balance, perfectly ripe fruit and refreshing acidity.
Very primary but what a potential ! Drink now or hold.
EDIT: shuts down hard after a couple of hours and stays fairly closed even on day 2. While delicious right out of bottle, I will hold my remaining bottles for app. 3 years before retrying.
