  December 31, 2009 - New Years Eve 2009 (My place): Opaque black color with a thin blue rim. Very intense and concentrated aromas of crushed blueberries, blackberries, kirsch liqueur, licorice, oil drum, gunpowder and cream caramel. Similar notes over the palate which starts out primary with loads of black fruit, then picks up dark licorice and chocolate on the midpalate, before ending with some burned oil drum. A power wine that somehow remains fresh and light on its feet.
