March 2, 2010 - Fantastic wine, but bears little resemblance to traditional Rioja. If tasted blind I might have even guessed Cote Rotie. You can pick up similarities to Sr. Romeo's work at Artadi but this is a richer style. This isn't much of a food wine because of the weight and viscosity. There is a good deal of sweetness/sun to it as well Long finish. One of the best Spanish wines I've ever head but paradoxically not very Spanish
