Community Tasting Note

March 9, 2010 - Dense, opaque and viscous...unmistakable California Cab with spiced currant, black cherry, ancho pepper and tomato leaf, chocolate box and light cedar notes on the nose. On the palate the wine is smoother than expected with chalky tannins, decent acidity and surprisingly balanced alcohol. The palate follows the nose but tastes riper with voluptuous black fruit charged with baking spice and a light graphite mid-palate through to a rich but moderate finish. Enjoyable.

3/10/10, 6:48 PM - Nice! I have the 05, but have not tried it, I did try the 06, and the aroma was fantastic, but totally under-delivered on the palate. I'm guessing it was bottle shocked because I did try it the day it come in.
