  August 1, 2010 - Nose: Green, stemmy element, black pepper, bramble, bright fruit - cherries, sour strawberries. Palate: Crushed gravel, strawberries, sour cherries on the attack. Some noticeable tannins along with some slightly sour berries, not to mention gobs of acidity on the mid-palate. A bit of a woodsy element on the finish... call it cedar, along with a creamy berry streak. The palate is very much Santa Cruz mountains and there is ample structure here. For my liking, I'd prefer to see just a little more sweetness from the fruit. Will probably be at its best in 3-5 years.
