  August 1, 2010 - Dark ruby, edging towards purple. Needs just a little bit of air to come together, then shows a fairly typical sangiovese perfume. Well-balanced tannins and acidity on the palate, with red cherries up front and some baker's chocolate in the background. Medium length finish. Drank the last glass 4 hours after opening and the fruit had faded significantly. I'll drink my remaining bottles over the next 3 years.
