August 10, 2010 - From a 375ml. 4th for Palate and 3rd for Nose in a group of four.
Color: Ruby
Smell: smoked meat notes, red cherry, hint of cigar box. A slightly nervy and lithe nose that seems almost lean and reserved...like a flower that is about to bloom. Later this becomes much more perfumed and floral; yet, almost dark and musky like the sweat off a finely tones female athlete's body after a six-mile run.
Taste: snap peas, green banana, kumkuat, cranberries, pomegranate.
Overall: The nose is so interesting...but there is a dip in the mid-palate that leaves me almost shocked as it is so sudden. It will be interesting to see where this wine is later in time...4,195 views
