August 29, 2010 - Red-purple, but with noticeable orange at the rim. Good, solid cherry aromas, but with a vanilla cream center. There are also some stewed prunes and a touch of gaminess. On the palate, good red fruit base, and the vanilla center remains. But this is not just a one-trick pony; there are subtle secondary flavors of earth and milk chocolate, with some cedary mulch and charcoal. Nice structure, this is tasty now, but has plenty of life left. This wine is very high on the delicious factor and is the stereotypical California cabernet. I like it. For $20 pro-rated, this was a great deal.

Edit: Nice to see my notes are relatively consistent.
