  October 12, 2010 - I really enjoyed this at Glasshalfull last night. A fairly modern style with chocolate, blackberries, black pepper and some tannins. Even with the tannins it is still pretty open already. A good bit of smoke and while medium bodied quite a mouthful but not chunky. Enough acid to cut through the fruit. Got better with some time open so I'd splash decant if I could. Really tasty with an excellent pork belly in plum sauce. Worked pretty well with the rutabaga soup with grilled onions and apple.
  
  I would never have pegged this as Amarone as it doesn't have any raisiny/pruney flavors.
