October 23, 2010 - This is for fans of the modern Napa style. If you align with Jim Laube of Wine Spectator, you'll love this wine. Big, inky, woody, concentrated and dense; but also pure and fresh. If you're a finesse and elegance person, this is not your wine. A very nice nose of oaky currant. Mouth coating tannins leave excellent Napa Cabernet flavors lingering on the palate. Focused. Not angular, but definitely not so soft as to stray into it being fat. A good balance. A big, "Grand Finale" finish. Unlikely to develop anything of note with age; so don't hesitate to drink up. The rating reflects the quality of this wine within its style. Again, this is for fans of the style. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan.
