  January 2, 2011 - Nice color with fine mousse, and tight bead. Nose of pear, nectarine, and toasted. This is more focused and less opulent than the 1999. Restrained orchard fruit notes with crisp acidity and crunchy minerality. I agree with the note below that describes this as less sappy than other GC wines, but I think it is still a fine Champagne with a great finish and a perfect foil for food.
