  March 1, 2011 - Commanderie Pre-Dinner (Restaurant Vincent, Minneapolis): Double decanted approximately 4 hours before tasting; started out profound and seemed to fade a bit by the time we drank it. Rich and intensely flavored, showing plummy fruit, anise/licorice, baking spices, and dark chocolate. Long finish. Delicious, but outclassed by the '78 Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill.
