April 8, 2011 - Popped and poured. Medium-light lemon/straw hue, persistent bead. Pronounced aromatically, with aromas of stone fruits, ripe apples, biscuit, and a hint of toasted oak (not terribly complex, but quite nice). Light to medium-light body. On the palate, the fruit is forceful and pronounced, with this particular bottle showing prominent Pinot-fruit characteristics of red berries such as raspberry and strawberry complimented by additional notes of apple, cream, and a touch of spice from oak. Medium-plus acidity keeps it refreshing on the moderate close. Not a wine to contemplate, but rather a delightful expression of fruit made in a style almost too easy to hedonistically guzzle down.
