  July 3, 2011 - Pronounced smell of alcohol on the nose. I have had this open for more than 2 hours and I don't think it is getting any better. I would have to say the '97 and '99 are much better wines based on tonight's showing. I have enjoyed these a few years back and they were materially better. Tastes like an old Chianti tonight.
