  October 30, 2011 - From 375. Wow, very impressive. Great nose with black currants, touch of plum, cedar spice and hints of coffee and vanilla. Palate is lush, forward, with a fine spine of acidity. Dark fruit profile thats quite deep with some pipe tobacco leaf. Leads into a lengthy finish, turning slightly sweet with cassis and a touch of vanilla. This screams California, but they nailed the balanced between ripeness, fruit, and oak. Very accessible today, but should add complexity over next 5yrs.
