  November 23, 2011 - I really wanted to like this wine more. I had this in LA several years ago and was blown away by it. Perhaps this wine just needs more time as the tannins did start to mellow after 30 minutes. The front flavors are described in many posts below and are a joy but then about 3/4 of the way thru something happens and the wine gets disjointed and very tannic. Not the silky tannins and great finish I recall. I have 2 bottles of the 2008 and will keep those sometime before trying.
