  December 6, 2011 - First time having the 06. This is DAY 2. This vintage seems to have turned a corner. Medium- lemon. Definitely a shade or two beyond other smith madrone rieslings i've had. Apple and pear aromas, not unlike Chenin blanc puts forth. Savenierres comes to mind. Previous notes of 'green tea' are seeing straight. Winter and flowers come to mind. A little almond on the finish. Perhaps this is about to enter funky town? Seems to be staring 'old apple' in the face, but at the same time, always a contender for 'old bones' in my opinion.
