  December 11, 2011 - Just a touch below the Les Pavots we had last year for my birthday. This doesn't give up much on the nose at the outset, but slowly opened to reveal smoky red fruits in a somewhat restrained but certainly refined mouthfeel. I enjoyed this a lot, and it was a far better option to bring a 375ml bottle to Mas la Grillade rather than overpay for theirs. This is an excellent food wine as it complements rather than overpowers what is being consumed. Should improve a bit over the next few years but this bottle was almost into its prime
