  April 11, 2009 - Drank with steak at Smith & Wollensky. Dark purple with ruby hint on the rim. Nose had chocolate and spice, along with earthiness and some green pepper. The taste is tobacco, chocolate and cassis. Light tannins on the finish with some spice. Overall, enjoyable wine with good complexity that is still tight and needs more time. Intense dark fruit and chocolate flavors that is rich and bold.
