  January 7, 2012 - Saturday at Knightsbridge (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Moderately pale color. Aromas of well reduced mushrooms, tobacco and cedar. Earthy flavors with some nutty elements. Moderate length and power. Tough for me to identify as Rioja, only as a well made wine intended to age gracefully. Although I have almost no experience with old Heredia.
