February 5, 2012 - Decanted for 2 hours. Initially very restrained, but opened gradually with aeration to reveal lovely red cherry fruit, etheral herbal aromas, spice-box and floral scents. Medium-bodied, elegant, with an almost silky texture, soft tannins, vibrant fruit and high acidity. Very long, spicy aftertaste. Very enjoyable already, but will gain in expressiveness with further cellaring. Extremely food-friendly, as a traditional Rioja should be.
