  June 3, 2012 - Phew! Poured second to last at the tasting (behind Alban Syrah) and rightly so. This stuff is HUGE! Gobs of fresh berry, plum, currant, meat, spice, and polish mingle on the palate while the nose is incredibly aggressive (and a touch boozy). Very pleasant wine, it had been open for something like 30 hours and still could have used more air. I like big Syrah as much as the next guy, but it's hard to know what to do with wines like these; how to pair with food, serve in a lineup etc. Good, but not sure I could drink the whole bottle (and definitely wouldn't want to drive later!).
