June 4, 2012 - Dark brownish core with light rim. Complex, high tone note of dried flower, almost caramelize sweet plum and blackberry, truffles, chili leaves and sweet herbs. With time, savory meatiness, star anise and mineral note emerged. Really seductive. The entry is quite acidic which is the character of the vintage. It wrapped up at the mid palate with sweet dark fruits, mineral and dry extract which formed really attractive mid palate depth. The medium level of tannin is firm and grippy along with solid structure. Long and powerful finished, lingering with spices, mineral and autumn leaves nuances. Really good. Grand Cru quality for sure. 92-93+
